What the Hell Just Happed Tony Stark Meets the Doctor
Tony had finally figured it out. The Endgame after five years, he'd finally worked out what Stephen Strange had done and what he'd meant. He could feel the power coursing through him. He stared down Thanos focusing on what he wanted to do and where he wanted to damm purple grape to end up. He knew he wasn't going to survive this, but he wasn't doing it for himself. He was doing it for Peter and Morgan. To make the world a better place. And with that the perfect comeback to Thanos' "I am enviable." popped into Tony's head.
"And I am...Iron Man," he hissed snapping his fingers.
"And I am...Iron Man," he hissed snapping his fingers.

"We want what you want," Stephen replies his tone evening out, "a peaceful word for those we love. I am a doctor by trade. I've killed once and I swore never again. My hands heal they do not harm Lord of Time." Tony nods in agreement. "I want my kids to have a better life then I did. I'm not saying my life means nothing but whatever it takes means just that."

"The stones will be placed back where they are meant to be," Stephen agrees with a nod, "and the Gauntlet itself will be destroyed. With Thanos gone the stones will be safe with their chosen guardians. Time will flow as if once did with a few adjustments for some."

There's a look over at Doctor Strange, a look that Ten knows more than he's letting on. That someone also has time sight. Unfortunately, as much as someone doesn't believe in using time travel as a means to fix things on purpose. After all, he only did it for Rose because Rose and didn't relieve it was a fixed point till they got there.
In this case, however, Nastasha had to die and they had to figure out time travel and the location of the stones; so that Thanos could see how to get the stones in the future from the past. Timey wimey stuff.
"And not Lord of Time. I'm The Doctor."

Tony gives the Doctor a look and pulls away clearly unsure about this person...."Uh thanks," he mutters as he isn't really good with strangers touching him. "Nice ship you've got here," he admits stroking the console lightly.
Strange however kept watching the Doctor carefully. He extends one of his shaking scarred hands. "Doctor Stephen Strange," he said with a nod.

Then his attention goes to the remark and returns the handshake, "The Doctor."
At Tony, "Can I help you with something?"

Tony doesn't realize what he's doing. "How is your ship both living and trans-dimensional," he mutters, "not to mention the mix of technology in the console. None of this should work together and yet it does. And this coming from the guy who just figured out time travel...with help."
no subject
"Good for you!" You clever human! However, his tone is quickly to change, "You're not going to go and muck up time now are you?"
A pause; "Help? Help from who?"

Tony shrugged. "It was team effort," he explains, "Ant Man had the idea, I figured out how to make it work safely, Natasha, Thor, Bruce and I figured out where we could land to take the stones without messing up the timelines and we broke into teams so that no more than three people were in one place at a time." Stephen smiles quietly. "And I planted the seeds," he agreed, "by giving up the Time Stone. It had to be done in a way Thanos couldn't guess what we were up to until the last possible second so he didn't pull one of the threads out of line."

Turning to Strange, "What about now? You're not just going to leave them with that secret are you?"
Humans with the secret to time travel, is that really such a good idea?

Stephen turns to look at the Doctor not afraid at all of the weight of such a gaze. He's lived through time loops, rewinding time, the loss of his former profession, being dragged to space, turned into dust, missing five years and the final battle. Judgement of this kind doesn't bother him as he's faced worse. "The people I gave it to not only sacrificed their own lives to make it work but also plan to return the stones to the exact moment they took them. And you question if they deserve to have it?"
Stephen resisted the urge to roll his eyes yet again. "You showed up at the last possible second and you question a battle we won like you have the right to and you do not. I trust the Avengers to do what's right with the options they have been given." He feels his relic flip an edge in agreement and Tony nods. "You don't have to trust us," Stark added, "but don't lecture us like you know what we've been through."

"I should be going. Don't belong here after all." Though there's something about his eyes that he doesn't belong quite anywhere.
no subject
"You could actually give us a hand," Stephen says easily, "your ship would help us return the stones easier then our option. But I won't force you into such a choice. That isn't who I am."
no subject
It's quite obvious that someone is staying emotionally distant, despite helping out.

"New York, 2012 17 North Bleeker Street," Stephen replied without hesitation, "my mentor will be waiting for you to return the Time Stone to her first."
